About VOC

The Vereniging voor Ordinatie en Classificatie (VOC), namely the The Dutch/Flemish Classification Society, was founded in 1989. Since the same year VOC has been a member of the International Federation of Classification Societies (IFCS). 

The VOC promotes communication and collaboration among those scientifically interested in the use, development and application of sorting and classification methods.

Among other activities, the VOC organizes one scientific meeting per year, and maintains contact with IFCS member societies and other related societies.

Within the framework of fruitful scientific cooperation is the joint scientific organization with the Italian Classification Society (CLADAG) of the edition of the CLADAG-VOC 2025
